Feeling Summery: Chambray + Stripes

When it's not a moody spring day (clear one minute, cold and rainy the next), this desert heat is on full blast. My poor basil plant is drinking more water than me!... which is probably a bad thing. I should probably go drink some water D:

Have a good weekend!

How to Wear Printed Pants

Or rather a how-to for me because I am stupid and don't know what to weeaaaaar... Especially with printed pants.
Step one: Keep it simple. That's the only step. Then you advance to intermediate printed-pants level and you mix patterns. But I'll get to that. Eventually.

I have not touched printed pants since 7th grade (I owned a pair of white capris that had HUGE purple flowers splotched all over it. yeah. I still shudder when I think back to those pants but in hindsight it was probably me who wasn't able to pull them off with enough sass and attitude to make it work.). But seeing these cute geo print pants at H&M for a mere $12.95, I figured, hey why not. But over my cold, dead body will you force my cold, dead legs into a pair of floral-printed pants again. Shudder.

High-waisted to look taller (plus high-waisted pants suck in that darn pooch where we keep our extra cookies) and paired with a summery blouse, you can't go wrong with these printed pants.. right? I even got a 'hey girl, you are very beautiful' shouted at me while crossing an intersection. Thank you, stranger. It's all in the pants.

That didn't sound weird.

Classic with a Twist (of Lemon)

Ever since I started YuniKelley Designs (yaaay check it out) which I operate from home, I feel like I haven't stopped working. My laptop feels like my work station and the couch (haha.. I hate my desk) is my office. My brain never shuts off unless I'm out and about or eating. Ah, eating. So last weekend, we decided to shut ourselves off from the apartment and rode our bikes around the shops downtown and to the zoo (well.. animal sanctuary, but we lovingly call it 'the zoo').

Riding bikes was amazing. I really forgot how fun it was and it puts flush on your cheeks and makes you feel so alive (until you get your foot caught in the pedal while crossing an intersection and look like an idiot- that really puts the flush on your cheeks!- haha) And you work up an appetite!

Mmm.. Perfectly juicy, grilled chicken breast, generous slices of cucumber and tomato, lots and lots of lettuce and sprouts. Just the thing to make you feel revitalized yet satisfying that burger craving. And don't forget the thick-crusted fries with plenty of fry sauce.

Below is a review of my two Bag Inc bags. This is an informative post for those interested in high quality bags and is NOT sponsored by BagInc: I bought these bags with my own hard-earned money and spent days researching. When I was searching for a high quality, designer inspired bag, I couldn't really find much beyond a few bags that Bag Inc had sent out for review and I wished that people who weren't sponsored by Bag Inc were writing reviews of their own so I could read an unbiased opinion.
